Safety Tips for Foreigners in Taiwan
  1. Avoid walking in desolate or dark alleyways where are more likely to hide potential danger.  
  2. Do not display money or other valuables in public or you might be the tempting targets for criminals.  
  3. Park your vehicle in a well-lit area and do not put valuables in the car when you leave.

  5. All valuables items should avoid placing at home but in the bank. Bankbooks and chops (personal seals) should be placed separately.  
  6. Avoid taxis with opaque windows or illegible license plates.  
  7. Avoid traveling alone. When traveling with a group, avoid leaving the group.  
  8. Lock all doors and windows when you are out, and better use the alarm system if you have one.  
  9. Do not let strangers enter your home; always know who is at your door you are letting him in.  
  10. Contact with your neighbors often and keep good interaction with them.
